Throughout his career, spanning SMEs, academia, and globally renowned organisations, Panos has led and scaled high-performing technical teams, delivering breakthrough R&D projects and cutting-edge research across many sectors including medical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, imaging, space systems, and advanced geotechnical sensing. His work has been featured in international conferences and technical publications, and his leadership has consistently driven technical excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth.
Coupled with this, his expertise in engineering team formation, capability development, and organisational transformation includes:
- Restructuring R&D organisations to support scale and agility
- Establishing robust reporting, documentation, and quality systems
- Creating efficient project management frameworks and technical governance models
- Fostering collaborative, high-trust environments that promote innovation and knowledge transfer
Panos maintains close ties to cutting-edge research as a Senior Honorary Visiting Fellow at City St George’s, University of London, and through collaborations with several other top-tier institutions across the UK and Europe, recently becoming the industrial fellowship recipient by the Royal Academy of Engineering on an academia-industry collaborative project.
